These are the words of IRS Commissioner John Koskinen when asked about scamming. With so many people asking for your social, it is easier for us to tell you who can have your social security number, and they include:
1. The IRS
2. Your bank and credit card companies
3. Your bookkeeper and accountant
Anyone else is probably not in need of the information and can do just fine without it, including your doctor, energy company, phone company, cellphone provider, guy on the phone, random email, etc.
