5. Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)
A general or limited partnership may choose to form a limited liability partnership in order to limit the liability of its members. The Texas Secretary of State offers a form for registration as a limited liability partnership. This type of business is like a limited partnership in many ways, it just has different liability criteria.
