Did you know you can get your credit report free of charge once a year? There are many monitoring and even identity protecting agencies online, but the official one that is actually what you want is called Annual Credit Report. You can obtain a free copy of your credit report every twelve months, including one from each of the three major credit reporting companies. This is useful for ensuring that your information is correct and has not been tampered with.
