4. Mind the Kids
One of the largest costs of Thanksgiving is the tendency to overbuy or over make. One of the largest reasons for this is that many people tend to think kids will eat as much as adults or even half as much as adults. In reality, a full grown man can and does often eat about four times what a grade school child will eat. Of course, this isn’t applicable to growing boys and girls in their teens.
