4. Veteran’s Investment Scams
The stock market is on a favorable uptick. Everyone, including veterans, may be looking into investing more. These scammers claim to be investment advisers with a specialty in helping veterans invest. They may also claim to have special deals available just to veterans that seem legitimate. All they need is access to your investment accounts, pension, benefits, etc. Giving a stranger access to these funds can mean a partial or total loss.
SOLUTION: Do not give out your investment information to anyone without thoroughly vetting them. Ask your bookkeeper for help. You may also contact your state’s veteran’s department for more.
