An estimated 45 million people will place the call this year alone according to CNN. And only about 60% are expected to get an

The same article reports those in line experiencing wait times of up to 90 minutes. “Millions of taxpayers are finding unacceptably long wait times on the phone and at our taxpayer assistance centers to get basic questions answered,” said IRS Commissioner John Koskinen. He blamed budget cuts and additional tax payers as the issue.
And of course, questions relating to Obamacare seem to top the list as reasons people contact the IRS, and with good reason. The law has undergone so many changes, it is difficult for the average person to understand how it will affect them.
