What this basically means is if you make an honest mistake, the IRS will come at you appropriately. So if you forgot to carry the one, don’t expect a patrol car in front of your house. You will most likely have to file an amended return. If these errors were in your favor, you may have to pay interest. If these errors were not in your favor, you may even be able to add to your tax refund.
