Sure, cable comes with great introductory rates, but they can and do skyrocket after a certain period of time. Then what’s a loyal customer to do? With more fingers on a hand than cable companies in the Houston area, it can still be tough to know who to go through, and they will all most likely to the same: low introductory rate followed by a sky rocketing bill. But you can change this in an hour by:
1. Calling your current provider and letting them know you will be switching if the new rate kicks in. OR –
2. Calling a new provider and letting them know what you are “currently” paying for cable and asking if they can they match it. Be sure they don’t have any cancellation fees in your new plan should you decide to back out.
